This page is a work in progress
I have been lucky enough to land at companies that have great culture. I try hard to be a good teammate and be a "culture add", not just a "culture fit". I have also been lucky to work at companies that have grown while I have worked there. So even though I'm not a manager, I'm proud to have played a major role in building out teams that are talented, have good values, work well together, and stick together.
Relatedly, I also seek out in-office culture over remote culture. While this has been difficult since the pandemic, I do believe it plays a big role in teams performing at their best.

I enjoy getting to know people and seeing how they work with others. At ReadyTalk, I was introduced to the "Cultural Interview" and became a big champion of their process. I tried to engineer similar processes at subsequent companies because I believe strongly in finding quality teammates and investing in them, even if it might take a little longer.
